Carlos of LH

"Carlos" is a rescue from a pet store. I try not to make a habit of it, but he was the only rat in the cage. This particular "Complete Pet Mart" does not sell rats (** GOOD FOR THEM **) and had taken him from his owner because they did not want him. He was supposedly 1.5 years old. They told me that he bit a child and made his finger bleed while at the store, and was very aggressive. I explained to them how important it was to feed him correctly and about socialization and that neglecting basic needs can sometimes lead to aggression. He had a price tag on his cage of $2.00. You know as well as I do that adult feeders are priced higher than that and I feared his fate, so as always, I rescued him. He did very well in quarantine and is not aggressive at all. In fact he is a lover and has a very quiet personality. When he was first rescued he went to live with a family that has 3 children and got along beautifully with all of them. He does NOT bite and gets along well with other ratties and people. He is so laid back sometimes I wonder if he is sleeping or just "Chilling Out". He and Space Ghost of LH (another available rescue) live together quite well and have the same laid back temperament, not to mention they look alike! Carlos is available for adoption.

Health/Temperament Notes: Abcess develped February 2006. Treated abcess and removed mass underneath. Carlos passed away during anesthesia. 2-27-06. God Bless "Los."
