"Lacey" was an extraordinary rescue. I was called by the local animal control (a "kill" shelter) that someone had found a domestic rat and that she was going to be euthanized (in the gas chamber) . I went to pick her up and she was in the room with the gas chamber. "Lacey" was very thin and not used to socializing with people. After being in quarantine, at our off-site location, she had doubled her weight. We are continuing to spend time with "Lacey" and help her to live out her normal rattie life as a pet and not as a meal.

 

Health/Temperament Notes: No Health Problems/A little shy but friendly
